POWERHOUSE PILATES is a licensed Pilates studio in the Philippines, making its way to the top of the country’s best Pilates studios nationwide. As an official member of OptionsStudio’s expanding branches and affiliates, we are in direct partnership with Pilates Master Trainer Ole Eugenio, known for being among Asia’s leading Pilates instructors of recent years.

POWERHOUSE PILATES was built around the idea of spreading the original and authentic methods of Joseph Pilates himself, unique from the contemporary exercises practiced in most Pilates studios today. We are the first Pilates studio in Nuvali, Laguna, and among the few partners of OptionsStudio located south of Metro Manila. Our studio is equipped with industry-leading Classical Pilates apparatus that highlight the safety and comfort of our clients in every single workout.

We open our doors to people of all ages, embracing diversity and sharing with others the wonders that Pilates could bring to our lives. Primarily, our studio is a powerhouse of proficiently-trained Pilates instructors well-equipped with the skills and knowledge to guide you in your journey to long-term physical fitness and a better quality of life. Our Story
Established in 2023, POWERHOUSE PILATES began with a strong ambition to transform the exclusivity of Pilates to an all-inclusive line of exercise for the benefit of all. Opting to share the knowledge she had learned through years of experience, the studio’s owner and founder, Ms. Alex Roces-Nuyda, started her Pilates journey just like everyone else – as a client.

“Ever since I started practicing Pilates in my teen years, I’ve always believed that it is an exercise that would benefit any individual from all walks of life. I realized then that I wanted to share how amazing Pilates is for the body, the mind, and the soul.”

This was when her passion for Pilates began to spark. And from that strong passion grew her desire to take her interest to the next level. She believed that harnessing Pilates in her everyday life would only result in greater positivity. Unlike other forms of strenuous workouts, she found Pilates as a low-impact exercise that, when done the right way, concentrates more on the internal work of the body to go beyond the ordinary.

“Pilates has helped me become aware of my posture, allowing myself to correct it continuously... it has even helped me with my two (2) pregnancies and my recovery post-birth. Despite the current conditions of my body, I still felt strong and graceful because of Pilates.”

Truly so, Pilates is an all-inclusive exercise that could be done by literally anyone – kids, pregnant women, PWDs, and even the elderly. In Ms. Nuyda’s words, “Pilates can be gentle and safe for the kids and the ‘kids-at-heart’, and yet can be very challenging even for the strongest of athletes.” Today, while being the owner and founder of POWERHOUSE PILATES, Ms. Nuyda continues to explore the vast world of Pilates as a client of OptionsStudio, while concurrently teaching her clients as a developing Pilates instructor for her very own studio. In March of 2024, we expanded our offerings with the opening of our second branch, Powerhouse Pilates Greenhills located inside The Cornerhouse in Greenhills San Juan, offering not just Pilates but also yoga, ballet, gymnastics for kids, and myotherapy. It is also an Authorized Training Center for Smart Movement International where we train aspiring Pilates Instructors.

What is Pilates?
PILATES is a series of low-impact exercises that focuses on strengthening and lengthening the entire body
through holistic forms of physical movement while developing mental discipline and overall quality of life altogether.
Concentrating more on internal work, Pilates enhances core strength, stretch, and balance, while simultaneously correcting the body to achieve the ideal shape. It amplifies muscular and postural development and conditions the mind to commit to a totally different lifestyle.

Unlike other strenuous exercises such as cross-fit, calisthenics, or weight-lifting, Pilates greatly benefits multiple parts of the body in a single workout. In essence, an hour a day of Pilates will ensure better posture, lesser body pains, and a much easier way of going through the day with little to no difficulties in general.
